IAC INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS’ EXHIBITION: INHERITANCE AND INNOVATION

| 28.06.2026 – 27.08.2026 |

Opening: 28.06.2026, 2pm

Members of the Jury: Lu Bin, Wayne Higby, Tan Hongyu, Lyu Pinchang , Jin Wenwei, Naho Yamashita

Curators: Zhang Jingjing, Li Chao

This exhibition aims to present and develop the main theme of the conference: ‘Ceramics, Inheritance and Innovation’, bearing in mind that Neolithic techniques such as AI-related tools can be used to create contemporary art. The artwork presented develop this theme in a relevant, striking and innovative way, with their materials, tools and cultural back grounds and horizons.

The only traditions are those that have survived. While tradition seems to be structured around repetition, which leads to perfection, it can also lead to boredom when it loses the energy that gave birth to it. A tradition that has survived is therefore one that has found a way to nurture this repetition so that its values can continue to be embodied, but which has also allowed changes to be integrated in order to meet fundamental human needs. We are permanence and transformation, and the practice of ceramics feeds on this apparent contradiction.

Featuring the artwork of Abdellatif Lynda, Alawadh Ali, Alipieva Mariya, Alkaradi Salam, Amesbury Avi, Andreassen Eyvind Solli, Aplin Kay, Asiedu-Kwarteng Japheth, Bao Wei, Beard Peter, Beavan Jenny, Becker Doris, Beiner Susan, Bellenot Joëlle, Boadas Pep, Bocioc Viorica, Boitmane Diana, Bouriche Boumediene, Chen Jun, Chen Ray, Chen Yinan, Chen Zhuo, Choi Sung Jae, Christopoulos Ilias, Daqing Gao, Das Gupta Sharbani, Du Zhehan, Duchamp Karima, Dychter Elizabeth, Einikytė-Narkevičienė Eglė, El Abd Mohamed, Franzi Cathy, Gandharb Sapana, Garces Fernando, Haarstad Scheel Jørgen Frederik, Ho Sin-ying, Horlik Veronika, Ide Teruko, Jansson Lothe Linda, Kanchev Ivan, Khodaeianaraki Bahareh, Kim Young-Soo, Kishi Eiko, Kiyomizu Rokubey, Kuhn Lynn Frydman, Lantin Martina, Liu Zhijun, McKenzie Heidi, Meyer Hennie, Monsalvatje Xavier, Morigi Mirta, Myronowa Janina, Naitoh Megumi, Nieminen Merja, Oishi Sayaka, Oliver Edna, Oriza-Perez María, Pejcic Jasmina, Puszczynski Michał, Qi Zhenyu, Ruiz-Tagle Keka, Rutar Kristina, Salinas Amaral Macarena, Savic Valentina, Schapiro Jacqueline, Song Danyang, Sullivan Phyllis Kudder, Tanaka Tetsuya, Taylor Bruce, Teder Annika, Teo Huey Ling, Traen C.A, Van Leemput Guy, Vavatsis Giorgos, Vepkhvadze Otar, Vial Stange Catalina, Wang Deng, Wang Jingye, Xu Hongyan, Yu Hui, Yuan Hailong, Yuan Yi, Zhang Fei, Zhang Xuelong, Zhang Yue, Zheng Ying, Zhou Bin, Zhou Guangzhen, Žbontar Dani
