The moderator will introduce the sub-theme, providing context to enable each speaker to expand on their topic. I have been making porcelain in Jingdezhen for last 24 years.
I am Japanese moved to England 53 years ago.
My father was a photographer.\u00a0
My family is nothing to do with pottery.
I have never met a potter until I was 19.
The place was Mashiko; pottery village of 150 years of history.
Provably newest of pottery community of Japan and there I started my apprenticeship.
I was 19.
But pottery made in Mashiko at that time only started 20 years before that time.
I am a part of generation the word CREATIVITY was a GOD\u2019s word.
I knew the word TRADITION but meant nothing to me then.
Today I am going to talk about \u201cTradition & Jingdezhen\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Robert Hassan's paper argues that as humanity we exist as Homo faber, as makers. Moreover, we evolved as inherently technological creatures who are also fundamentally analog beings. Through a critique of automation, digitality, AI-generated art, and industrialised alienation, it contends that digital technologies erode embodied knowledge, craftsmanship, creativity, and meaning by subordinating human philosophical \u201cwhy\u201d of the creative act, to the technological \u201chow\u201d that are based on \u201cefficiency\u201d and the implacable substitution of human agency wherever possible.<\/p>\r\n
